We are looking for an experienced couple to help in our home. Good salary available for the right couple. We are an informal family and require a couple who can manage their own time be flexible and take pride in their work. The position would be live-in with a self-contained lower ground floor with double bedroom kitchen bathroom study area and living room. The proposed hours are generally Mon- Fri (usually 7.30am 7pm with up to 2 hours off during each day if a full day with most Saturday mornings (8-11am) and some flexibility on the occasional weekend. We would seek to offer time off (a further 3 hours) Mon-Fri in return for each Saturday morning. There may be the occasional need to work beyond 7pm however we would provide notice and allow a commensurate number of hours off during the week to compensate (excluding babysitting hours as listed below. Proposed duties are to include Cleaning Daily clean of our home. This is to include daily laundry daily ironing daily washing of wood floors daily clean of kitchen and bathrooms twice weekly hovering of entire house twice weekly changing of all beds general tidying cleaning of garden and care of clothes and shoes. Cooking & Food Shopping Working with us to prepare a weekly menu of evening meals for the two adults and also the occasional dinner guests. Stocktaking and purchasing for food and household groceries. Serving is not essential but full preparation (always) and cooking (most of the time) would be. We would also need a daily family breakfast to be prepared (for example cereal toast chopped organic fresh fruit and a daily smoothie) and for the occasional lunch (1-2 days per week. Dog Walking & Feeding We have a energetic small dog who needs a 45 minute walk in the park in the morning and a 30 minute walk in the early evening. She also needs feeding at 8am and at 4pm. We have a nanny however there will be the occasional need for help with tea occasional cover for a couple of hours (1-2 times per week and babysitting (mainly listening to a monitor. We would expect babysitting to be between 2-3 nights per week (maximum. We would like one of these babsitting nights to be on a Saturday evening (1-2 times per month. Driving One of the couple would need to have a clean full UK driving licence and have experience of driving previous employers. This would be on-call during the day but in practice it would be between three to six 5-10 minute trips per day. Experience of London city traffic would be ideal. They would also be responsible for keeping the cars clean and polished. Household maintenance There would be some household maintenance. For example purchasing and replacement of lightbulbs some gardening occasional re-planting and the notifying to us if anything isn t working properly. General errands These would be as and when and we would like to couple to be flexible enough to help out when we most need them. We would like a can do approach.
