Live-in Nanny

netFabulous new role for a Live In Nanny in Canterbury, working with 3 children aged B7, G5, G4. Both parents are professionals and need someone to help with breakfast time, school runs, school pick ups, dinner time and bath time. As all 3 children will be schooled full time you will spend the day doing the nursery duties, running errands, doing the food shopping and the family ironing also. This is a fabulous role as you will be given a separate 2 bed Barn Conversion close to the house and a car available on duty and also off duty as long as you are staying locally. The family are relocating from London to Kent so you may start the role working in their London home and at the beginning of July helping them with the transition of moving to a fairly rural location in Kent. The family are looking for a fun, active and bubbly nanny to care for the children. You will be creative and be a good communicator and fun educator. The family would also like the nanny to go on family holidays with them. Along with the fantastic accommodation offered with this role and a car to use on and off duty you will also be offered a salary of £300-400/week net.

A leading Nursery Provider with a large setting based 10 minutes walk from the Kingston train station requires a very strong Room Leader to work in their baby room, toddler or the pre-school unit. You need to be very strong on either Birth to Three matters ro Foundation Stage.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

To ensure the children are hayy and safe

Be very fluent in your Birth to three matters

Manager and guide your staff and children

Plan, prepare and write repoty and updating parents about their children

Work as a teacm and keep the members of staff motivated

You will need to have the following qualifications:

A flexible Nanny required for sole charge care of 2 boys who are 8 and 5 years old. The ideal candidate would need to be confident with this age group as well as being happy to have some spare time while the children are at school. This may suit someone who is looking to study something during the day. You will then need to pick the boys up from school which is within walking distance to the house and help with homework. Being aware of the different stages of development is crucial as well as a knowledge of this age group’s homework. Normal working hours are between 10 to 12 hours per day as well as babysitting upon prior arrangement. The family are looking for a fit and active nanny with loads of enthusiasm and energy for this age group.

Your accommodation is a large double bedroom and bathroom with 6-7 weeks holiday.

Nursery Manager

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced nursery manager!

This is an ideal role for a nursery manager who is keen to gain some progression. You will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery and delivering excellent standards of care and educations.

You will have previous experience of managing a 50+ place nursery.

You will develop very strong working relationships with all the staff, providing day to day guidance and support to ensure that the standards you have set are achieved.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
  • To effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculums are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends
  • To effectively manage the budgets and occupancy levels
    • To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.
    • To manage all day to day operations of the nursery

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
  • Previous relevant supervisory experience
