Key objectives of the role:
• Ensure the effective daily management of the nursery in accordance with Company Policy; the Children Act 1989, and other relevant legislation; and all Local Authority and OFSTED requirements.
• Ensure the safety, security and well being of all the children registered with the nursery.
• Ensure that all agreed Policies and Procedures are maintained at all times.
• Be responsible for recruitment, management, training and discipline of all employed staff.
• Monitor and ensure all agreed company quality and safety standards are maintained in the nursery at all times.
• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations, including payment of fees, collection of outstanding monies, within the nursery and meet occupancy and financial objectives.

SEN PMLD TA (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) – Birmingham

We are currently working with one of our partner schools for Special Needs in Birmingham to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties – particularly Autism.

This is a large Special School for pupils with severe and complex special needs. The school has recently moved into a new purpose built building with impressive state of the art facilities and prides itself on providing a Creative Curriculum. Educational visits in the local community around Walsall, play a key part in pupil’s learning – supported by a large number of SEN Teaching Assistants. Teaching Assistants play a vital role in the school, supporting complex care needs and learning support, following Individual Care Plans and Individual Educational Plans.

The pupils at the school are statemented for Autism (ASD) or severe learning difficulties (SLD) and they may have challenging behaviour. An understanding of the issues associated with complex needs and emotional and social difficulties is desirable.

The eldest child has cystic fibrosis and requires daily medication and physiotherapy therefore the family are ideally looking for someone responsible and confident to assist in her care. Their ideal candidate will be someone bright, willing to learn, on the ball, meticulous, bubbly, lively and inspiring. The eldest daughter may at times be unable to attend school therefore a nanny who is able to provide developmental activities and fun ways of learning will be a great asset for the family. Nanny must also have sound working knowledge of babies and able to assist with weaning and potty training etc. The family travel the majority of school holidays to various locations. A driver is required for this position and an automatic car will be provided on duty. Own double bedroom, equipped with TV, sky and a computer with Internet access, and en-suite bathroom.
