Senior Deputy Manager

This is a fantastic role for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager who is able to manage and lead a team with a possibility to move into a nursery manager’s role in the future as we are able to offer excellent career progression.

You will be someone who has a warm and supportive approach to your work with a focus on making sure all care and business objectives are met.

You will be required to lead a team to increase their ofsted rating and able to offer excellent guidance and leadership.

You will have an ability to develop and build excellent parent partnership programs within the setting.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
  • Overseeing the planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum across all age groups
  • With the manager to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends specifically related to the relevant curriculum
  • To ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.

You will ideally need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities.

Nursery Manager – Northolt

My client based in Northolt has a 100 place setting. They are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager who could run this massive budget setting. The candidate applying for this position should have worked minimum of three years as a Manager. No matters how big your current setting is – big or small – all you need is the drive, ambition and the experience to run this setting. You should be willing to take the pressure and should be a person who would love a challenge.

Some of your duties are….

  1. Managing a diverse team
  2. dealing with parents and families
  3. liaising with Ofsted and the Early Years Department
  4. Planning and assessing appropriate activities for children aged six weeks to five years
  5. Writing and continuously developing an effective operational plan
  6. Supporting professional development for staff
  7. Developing and maintaining financial procedures for budgets and collection of nursery fees
  8. Working with a multi agency workforce

You MUST have Level 3 or Level 4 or Foundation Degree in Childcare and should have been a manager for the past three to four years.
