Friendly informal family are looking for a confident, active baby nanny with great maternal instincts to care for two children, one little boy of 2 years old and a little girl of two months old. of 4 and 6 and a little boy of two years old. The little boy will eventually start at nursery two days per week and from January mum goes back to work so the position would be purely sole charge. The ideal nanny for these children would be able to provide stimulation, be developmentally focused and love what she does as well as someone who is good with discipline and working with both babies and toddlers. There is a lovely network of nannies in the area as well as their house being very close all parks etc. Flexibility to babysit by arrangement and occasional travel to Italy and Switzerland required. A driver is essential and a car would be provided for your use. The family want the nanny to take the children to classes, activities, the park and other age appropriate actives as agreed.

Accommodation is a large double bedroom and en suite bathroom on top floor. Very private area.

Deputy Nursery Manager

This well-established Children’s Centre situated in Tunbridge Wells, Kent is looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a successful centre and to be part of a team that prides itself on their high standards and commitment to promoting Early Years.

You will need to be dedicated and enthusiastic with the ability to use your own initiative. Assisted by the established nursery team already in place, your core responsibility will be to ensure continuing high quality childcare within a fun, stimulating and caring environment. A strong experience of children with Special Educational Needs is essential and proof of this will be required.

The skills we are looking for in a candidate are:

. Qualified Management Level 4 Status either NVQ, Btec or similar in childcare

  • Experience in all aspects of staffing: performance management, attendance patterns, recruitment, staff development and training
  • Experience of supporting SEN pupils
  • Strong management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Willingness to promote learning
  • Development of EYFS curriculum
  • Carry out Health and Safety risk assessments

. Knowledge of the High Scope curriculum a must.
. Must be able to assist disabled children – manual handling qualification essential
. Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and experience of managing staff ratios .
