Maths Teaching Assistant
Qualified TA This Secondary school in Hull is currently recruiting for a Qualified Teaching Assistant to work within the KS 3/4 age range providing both in and out of class support to pupils. The school are looking for a candidate with a proven, demonstrable background in Teaching Assistant work and relevant qualifications. The role will be to:
- Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction of the Head or class teacher
- Provide Mathematics support for individual students inside and outside the classroom
- Assist the class teacher as and when required in maintaining student records
- Supporting students struggling with Mathematics in small groups and on a one to one basis
- Providing numeracy support and assisting the teacher with in class instruction Desirable:
- Degree level qualification in Mathematics Essential:
- Demonstrable knowledge of Mathematics as a core part of the National Curriculum
- NV 2 /NV 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
- 3-6 months experience of supporting learning appropriate to age range pupils
- Experience of supporting literacy and numeracy
- Experience of working within a similar role
- Area of specialism – Mathematics
- Excellent CT skills
