Housekeeping & Handyman Couple (Cotswolds)
We are a fun but hard working husband and wife team based on an English Estate about 10 miles from the towns of Cheltenham and Cirencester (both less than 2 hours from London. We are looking for a motivated enthusiastic reliable flexible and joyful couple who relish variety and speak good English to come and help us run our home (2 dogs 3 cats a few horses and chickens but no children) and assist on the estate. Household duties would include general housekeeping cleaning laundry ironing cooking serving at dinner parties and care of animals. On the estate the duties include gardening lawn mowing general household tasks such as painting simple repairs and maintenance as well as assisting in forestry fencing horse trials and with the horses when required. Some knowledge of and previous experience in the above duties is advantageous although we will provide some training for the selected couple. Must be honest self motivated industrious and able to work on own initiative with little supervision. Accommodation is in a self-contained one bedroom flat in one of the outbuildings that is not connected to the main house. We work a 5- day working week with flexible days off not always on the weekends. We are happy to accommodate any reasonable travel plans.
