Assistant Housekeeper required to work in a large fully staffed house near Ascot. You will work alongside the Head Housekeeper and assist with the smooth running of the household. The owners of the property are only in residence 4-months per year so although you will be contracted to work 40 hours per week you will work 60 hours per week for 4 months a year and 30 hours per week for the remaining 8 months. You will be responsible for the daily up keep of the property which is kept to the highest standard. You will be required to iron linens fine clothes bedding and tablecloths. You will be required to clean the house on a daily basis which will include polishing silver care of antiques and cleaning crystal so experience in these areas is essential. When the owners are in residence you will be required to set the table for breakfast lunch & dinner. You will be required to serve at each meal and assist the chef in the kitchen. As the owners of the property move from country to country on a regular basis there is a lot of packing and unpacking involved. Our ideal candidate would have experience of floral arranging and potting houseplants. The house is full of fresh flowers which are changed twice a week. The environment is formal with a full uniform to be provided. You would form part of a team of three and be part of a larger household team. From time to time you may be required to work out of the owner s London house which is 30 miles away. Written and spoken English are essential and due to the location of the property a full clean U.K driving licence is also essential.
