We are looking for a caring, loving and experienced nanny to look after our two beautiful 6 months old babies (they will be 8 months by the time the placement starts). The suitable candidates will need to be either qualified or with several years of experience. We would like someone who has previously worked simultaneously with two or more babies. Our preference is for a carer who has first aid qualifications, and has had previous experience in weaning. Duties will include: care and entertaining the babies, take the babies on outings, preparing meals and taking care of the babies belongings, manage the babies meals diary and shopping list and occasional babysitting. Nursery Nurse

Hays Education are currently seeking a nursery nurse to work within a daycare setting in the Ferryhill area in County Durham.

Our client is a well-established day care provider who offer a combination of nursery services including full time day care (8am to 6pm) and crèche facilities.

You will be required to work as part of a team to provide a high standard of care to children from birth to five. As a qualified nursery nurse you will have a good understanding of the EYFS and will be comfortable working in both a baby and toddler room. You must be able to work as part of a team but also use your own initiative.

Hours of work will vary from week to week and can be flexible to fit around your own commitments. This is a temporary role, initially for 2 months for a minimum of 20 hours per week with the opportunity to work more when required.

Essential nursery nurse skills:

  • NNEB / NVQ / CACHE level 3 or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of the EYFS
  • Knowledge of working in both a baby and toddler room
  • Ability to communicate well with children, parents, staff and outside agencies
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Ability to use your own initiative
